Chad Wallace is a born social entrepreneur with a keen sense for getting to the heart of complicated social issues and mapping out a path to sustainable change. After graduating from Texas A&M in 1995 with a degree in Architecture, he and his wife, Krista Adams Wallace, moved to the Dominican Republic. Chad established the camping program for Young Life International, designed and began construction of Pico Escondido, a residential youth resort in the mountains and founded Exposure, an outdoor adventure program and retail store. In 2003, Chad and Krista founded the Doulos Discovery School, a Pre K - 12 grade, bi-lingual, college prep, Leadership Academy.

In 2003, Chad and Jeff Loftsgaarden, purchased a 335 acre coffee plantation, now called Spirit Mountain, which has become one of the premier coffee farms on the island. Chad established Estancia Natura, a boutique residential community and Eco Lodge.

in 2005, Chad founded Colorado Designs, a Design/Build firm dedicated to innovation and the search for the perfect balance between simplicity, beauty and function. His fingerprints can be seen throughout the Jarabacoa Valley. His style varies from traditional Western-Rocky Mountain Style Log and Timber Frame homes to super modern, environmentally sustainable designs.

During the Spring of 2013, Chad and Dan LeMoine founded the Fourth Water Business Accelerator, an international business development community seeking to connect social entrepreneurs from all over the globe and create a replicable model of vibrant economic success for underdeveloped countries.

2014 marked a dramatic geographic shift for the Wallace's due to the economic downturn in the Dominican economy. In July, Chad took a position with Landvisions, an innovative and growing Landscape Architecture firm in Tyler Texas.

in 2019, Chad and Krista moved to Denver, Colorado and he stepped into a short season of leadership as the General Manager of D Enterprise, a residential construction company in Denver.

in 2021, Chad moved from the design/build world he had spent more than 20 years in and joined Root Architecture and Development, focusing the majority of his efforts on architectural design. He is a Principal with founder Zeke Freeman, and leads a team of incredibly talented architects as COO of the organization, designing single family homes, muti family and hospitality projects.

Chad continues to spend considerable time in the DR managing farm operations and working to develop Estancia Natura.
