Native Texan, mostly proud but not always; known to fall back on "I'm adopted" when the state and its people are stupid. I'm adopted. Father to Alex and M'laina, and love them to pieces. Aspire to dwell in concrete/glass/steel monstrosity that's the folly of a dead architect. Dabbled in extreme sports for the stories, not the glory - mostly failed. Video gamer, particularly fond of the melee kill in Halo delivered with the Zelda dungeon music playing in the background. Textbook adolescent with a checkered past. Recovering hoarder, every day is a struggle. I cry at happy moments instead of sad ones. Love grilled meat, cold vodka, key lime pie. Boycotting pizza because there are too many lousy pies in the world. Cat person. Insights says I'm Red so shut up and ship some software. Did not peak during my high school years, unlike some people I know. Made my first programming money writing ASM on MSDOS 2.1 in 1985, and have gotten paid for writing code in twelve or so computer languages over the years. Amateur grammarian, but will easily eschew values for idiomatic constructs. Loves me some British rock, but digging electronica & trip-hop too. Hate cold, love to procrastinate. Survived more than 18 years at Microsoft with no visible scarring. Don't read enough to match my desire to have read; don't write enough to match my desire to have written.
