I believe that everyone has a story and in those stories are lessons to be learned.
May 2013 I became a 1st generation grad from Hampton University.
Sports management was introduced to me as a freshman at Hampton University by a senior in the major. Once I began to take classes in my major I began to create this deep love connection with the world of sports. The fast moving past of the industry matches my personality to the T. My favorite part about my future in sport would be to know that I can go to work and know that every day will be exciting and something new.
I have been blessed enough to have worked many different aspects of sport from collegiate level to the professional level and everything in between. I have worked in marketing, social media, event management, accounting and operations management. Today I am working with the Philadelphia Soul (AFL). As an Operation assistant I have learned what it takes to be responsible for running a professional sporting event with crowds as big as 10,000 fans. My journey has shown me that long hour and hard work pays off. I always tell people I’m the person in the background that no one knows about. I am the person that is there to make things that seem impossible possible.
