Hi, I'm Kostas, a distinguished software engineer living in London. I love applied cryptography, optimisation and machine learning and I really like to work on R&D projects that somehow combine Security with Artificial Intelligence.

I started my journey back in 1999 by implementing various ensemble methods to construct a set of classifiers for soccer-outcome prediction. The above model was profitable enough to make me financially independent during my CS studies.

Although I was about to start a career in AI, life is full of surprises. A security/privacy incident changed my plans and I eventually defended my PhD in Identity and Timed-Release Encryption.

I have worked for various startups and well-established organisations in various cities like Athens, Paris, London and San Francisco. Example projects: Distributed Ledgers and Blockchains, Secure Random Generators, Automatic Quiz Solvers, Fingerprint Verification and Post-Quantum Cryptography.
