Chalon Bridges

I am an avid reader (usually have at least 4 books + Zite going at once); an appreciator of simplicity in design and craftsmanship (think Thos. Moser furniture); a seeker of adventure (just went to Tanzania + just did my first biplane ride complete with flips and turns); and am currently midstream in a morph to becoming a digital publisher.

I work in the San Francisco office in California and live in Sonoma (a.k.a. Wine Country). I've been with Pearson for 22 years but regularly steep myself in ideas from outside our industry. I am currently building a digital-first textbook replacement for the Higher Ed Science group.

I have a son who exposes me to great Hip Hop artists and all things adventurous (think chile-lime rub on your morning bacon) and a daughter who is Pippi Longstocking reincarnated. My husband adds patience, order, and an endless supply of unconditional love to the mix but remains unmoved by Hip Hop.

What fuels me is the hope that my work will spark a passion for learning in the next generation and triple the amount of curiosity in the world.
