Chamberlain International School was established in 1976 with the purpose of creating a learning environment that provides academic and therapeutic support for students with learning and emotional challenges. It operates with a goal of delivering education and support through a family- and caring-based approach and accepts students aged 11 to 18 in middle and high school. Chamberlain International School combines a rigorous academic curriculum with a diverse therapeutic support program that incorporates a collaborative problem solving approach.

Therapeutic care provided by the school includes individual and group therapy, psychiatric services, and nursing care. It also offers specialized treatment that help students with specific learning or emotional challenges, such as obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, and specific learning disabilities. Moreover, weekly group sessions enable students to work through these issues alongside others with similar conditions, in addition to groups for creative expression, leadership and volunteer opportunities, and issues exclusive to men or women, respectively.

In addition to its strong academic curriculum, Chamberlain International also manages programs for auto mechanics, aviation, international learning, and arts and music.
