The original kid that carried Shakespeare in her book-bag and dreamed of a socialist society. She first realised her passion for history and historical minds when she played Rosa Parks in a primary school play. She was given an inkling at age 11 that she may have a career as a writer when she was told so by the then Director of Education, after reading her piece.
The right to an education for all is a subject that has been close to her heart for some time now. She grew passionate about politics since being exposed to Marxism and Socialism, and ever since the errors in our politics have become more prevalent to her. She developed her mind through her academic and personal study of history, she found there are many historical figures that have been misunderstood, or whose intentions and principles were originally coherent, but were lead astray due to corruption of power. She categorises Vladimir Lenin differently as opposed to dictators Hitler and Stalin.
She is currently working on her own study of a personality type shared by certain historical figures.
Her passion about differing perspectives in History and how her character has been shaped by the subject, was spotted by journalist Sian Griffiths through her personal statement and was featured in the Sunday Times.
She has written for 'Mancunian Matters'
She is positive about changing the world- and firmly believes this change can come through writing. She aspires to be a journalist, an activist, a writer.
She identifies herself as working class.
