Hey there. I'm a web geek, an ocean lover & surfer, and a serial startup founder turned investor.
I was initially drawn to software and the internet while at UC Santa Cruz in the 1990's at the time of the first dot com boom. I saw the web as a meritocracy for ideas with the power to democratize opportunity and create impact, and dove in head first.
In the last 8+ years my work has focused on bringing early stage finance online. I played a leadership role in Washington D.C. on a portion of the JOBS Act legislation, creating the new US equity crowdfunding laws. Surrounding those efforts in 2011 is when I became founder and CEO of Crowdfunder.com, the equity investment platform for accredited investors and VC fund.
More recently, I'm now a part of the next evolution of finance being built on the blockchain and with cryptograhic tokens - via ICOs (Initial Coin Offerings) where I see the creation of even richer distributed and decentralized models.
I'm also an investor and advisor who enjoys helping Entrepreneurs at the early stages.
Outside of business I spend time on Ocean Conservation initiatives, surf, playing acoustic guitar, and love spur of the moment travel.
