Chandler Huddleston
Hey! My name is Chandler and I am a 3rd year at UGA, in the Middle School Education program. My 2 emphasis are Math and Science. Being a teacher is the only thing I have ever wanted to do; I come from a long line of educators. I was born in Lagrange, then moved to North Carolina and lived there until I was 12. In the 7th grade I moved back to Georgia, and I sure am glad I did! I couldn't picture myself anywhere else other than the the Classic City. Athens has become my home, and I want to stay here forever.
I love traveling and seeing the world. I have spent time in Greeve, Turkey, and this past summer spent 3 weeks on the island of Zanzibar, which is right off the coast of Tanzania. We focused on building a school in the community we stayed in, as well as teaching English at a nearby school. That experience changed my life forever, and really made me appreciate everything I have, as well as the education system we have in our country. That experience really solidified my want to be a teacher. I had the time of my life!
I have a 23 year old brother named Dain who is United States Marine (OORAH), an 11 year old brother named Kade who is the smartest 5th grader I will ever know, and a 4 year old sister named Dossen Greigh who is literally my twin. Everyone thinks she is my child, so if someone asks I claim her as my own. I value my big family more than anything, and I couldn't picture my life without my crazy, beautful siblings. My family is my whole heart.
