Hello, I'm Chandler! I am a first- year student here at Kennesaw State University. My birthday was August 12th, so I turned 18 just as I began my college experience. I was raised in Lithonia, Georgia, by my mother Dawn with the help of my grandparents, Barbara and Allan Jones. I am an only child, but my six cousins never allowed me to feel like a "true" only child. I come from a very loving and motivating family, who support me in everything that I do. My family is very serious on the impact of education, and have always rewarded us for good grades or doing well in school. As I got older, and the incentives went away, I learned to appreciate them showing me the importance of doing well in school. This definitely contributed to me doing so well in high school, graduating with a 3.8 GPA.

During our free time, we live to go on vacations, take rides around the city, or just watching shows together such as Power.In my personal free time, I enjoy shopping, listening to music, going to concerts, and hanging out with friends. As I look back at high school, I realized that there is so much more to the world, and although I was afraid to start a new journey, I'm ready. With my first week of college comes to an end, I realized that my family has created a very strong, independent, and loving young lady. I have no reason to be fearful, because I know that I will be successful in what ever I decide to do these next few years. I'm ready for all the highs and lows, with the faith that I will come out on top!
