Sandeep Chand

I am a senior consultant working for a leading Core banking solution called Finacle. I have spent more than 9 years working on both product development and product implementations. Core Banking transformations are fascinating journeys where you prepare for more than a year and then boom one weekend you go live, the sheer scale and very little margin of error makes it a fascinating experience. I have spent more than 3 years working on Core Banking transformation projects in Singapore, Taipei, Riyadh and Lagos and met some great people during this period, explored different culture and food. Contrary to the popular notion of a dull boring life of software professional I had a great time enjoying my work and spent some awesome time off work with my colleagues.
I was born in the small industrial town of Rourkela in India. The industrial influence was the initial driver for choosing an engineering career but later found computers and information technology very fascinating. I love graphics and web designing, did some freelancing during my undergrad. Lately I have added photography to my list of hobbies. In my free time I am working on an android app based on the theme “A social app without friend list”, hope it works out as I am planning. I Love reading about technology and the business of technology. I am married to a lovely lady who incidentally happens to share the same passion for Finacle. I am the dumb father of a 3 year old intelligent girl and I love getting stumped by her amazing questions.
