Chanelle Walker

Hola,

As the name suggests I am Chanelle Walker, 24 years of age born and raised in the big smoke Melbourne, Australia.

Before residing in Barcelona I worked as a Travel Agent in Melbourne where I discovered my passion for travelling and became fascinated with travel journalism and foreign languages.

I would write for my own self interest, drawing on inspiration from anything as simple as the coffee in one of Melbourne’s best cafes (yes they really do have an amazing coffee culture…believe everything you hear) to more illusive writings of the folk I would see on the street after months backpacking around Europe.

Barcelona was really love at first sight...well, at least it's what I like to tell myself anyway. I did however catch a taxi one afternoon and the taxi driver Oscar is my now fiance. so lets just say when i left Barcelona that day the universe had other plans for me, knowing i would return again soon for a crazy love affair.

A month into my big move I completed my TESOL Cert as my passion for the English language grew, to really immerse myself in a new experience and Voila! Here I am, an aussie girl taking on life as an expat getting carried away with the european lifestyle and falling in love with it everyday, another one bound to some forever ending spiritual journey to not only find myself but to understand my life fulfilling purpose,

Well, I haven't quite found my "niche" in this world apart from the fact that I like to write and find myself better able to communicate through a pen and paper.

Apart from my obvious passions in Tourism, language studies and Teaching I spend a horrible amount of time on pinterest pinning anything to do with design, photography or food recipes (which I will then either master or kill in my kitchen) reading mostly autobiographies and watching classic films.

As someone once told me “we are born to live my dear, not to merely exist”.
