Chang Shu
Hello, everybody. My name is Chang Shu and i am glad here to see you guys.
After the survey, my StrengthsQuest Strengths are: Positivity, Arranger, Woo, Harmony and Includer. There is no doubt that “ Positivity ” is my favorite one among my 5 top strengths. Shit happens everyday so you cannot complain it every time. It is stupid to spend lots of time on grumbling in such transient life so we need to live with a positive attitude. My friends all regard me as a optimistic people because i always help them find a beam of light when they are surrounded by dark or no matter how difficult conditions. Certainly, when i confronts any problems like low grades, sprain ankle, etc. i always looks at some good sides. For example, if i got a low grades in my meth midterm, i never thought i'm a failure, loser, or i have no potential in flied of meth. I would concern that there are still rooms for me to strive and work harder. This is not the end of my ability. Every things have two sides, so why not pick up the positive one?
In the assignment of A Letter To Myself, i was asked to write kind of letter to introduce myself, talk about my personal and academic life, the way i got here, and the hope to the future. Going back to the time i wrote the letter, i was confused to write. On the other words, i don't know how to write a letter to myself because it is kind of weird and new to me. In this way, i just wrote some things about me in another angle of me. However, it helps me to define myself and find the way to keep going. Compare to what i am now, it is surprise to me that i've grow a lot and indeed walked on the way i wished before. It really witnesses my growth.
As for the assignment of Lessons from a First-Year Buckeye, the most meaningful thing to me is that i'm pride as a buckeye. i wrote the new things to me, the difficult things to me and the different things to me. In the above all things, i've learnt that America is kind of highly freedom and diverse country where people can do what they want to do without restriction. The first year experience here is so amazing, helping me to love and explore here more and more.
