Chantel L. Jones

Dallas Faces Race Program Officer, Chantel L. Jones has a passion for social change and human development. Professionally, she has worked as a community advocate and educator for underserved populations. Her previous work at The Family Place (A Family & Domestic Violence Agency) has helped others overcome societal barriers such as access to quality education, services and employment. Chantel is a member of the United Nations Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She was recently selected to participate on the Mayor’s Star Council to help craft the vision for the future of Dallas. Chantel shares her passion and experience with organizations to learn how to apply a racial equity lens to address the needs of the community. She serves as a Board Member for Hunger Busters, as well as on the Grants Review Committee for The Arts Community Alliance in Dallas.

Chantel is a Dallas transplant from Detroit, MI. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelors in Business Management and received her Masters in Adult Education & Training from Argosy University in Dallas, TX. In her free time, Chantel enjoys speaking to empower young adults entering the workforce, swing out dancing, yoga and reading with a warm cup of hazelnut flavored coffee.
