It all started after I was approached on Last.fm by someone asking me if I would be interested in interviewing and photographing Metro Station at my local music venue. A nervous 14 year old said 'yes, okay then...' Armed with a sheet of questions, a dictaphone, and a bridge camera, I did it.

I had always been a fan of photography; queuing for hours before a show, just so I could get a spot on the barrier to try and take half decent pictures of my favourite bands on whatever little camera I had at the time. But now in front of the barrier, I had the space to move and more angles to take photos as - just what I wanted. After being mildly laughed at in the photo-pit of Metro Station, I decided to upgrade to a Nikon D90. It was at this point I realised I wanted to work in the music industry; interviewing and photographing my favourite artists.

A few months later I had set up my own website, With Drums and Colour (which comes from a stage direction in Shakespeare's 'Macbeth' that I was reading for Year 10 English class), with the person I had met through Last.fm. Through this I have had the chance to interview big names such as Travie McCoy, Sean Kingston and 3oh!3, as well as photographing acts such as You Me At Six, All Time Low and Ellie Goulding.

I have also had photos published in Neighbourhood Freak Magazine, as well as musician Lights using a photo for her 2012 tour poster.
