I am a Molecular Biologist–Biotechnologist and post-doctoral researcher with a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology–Pharmacogenetics from the School of Medicine, AUTH. My work focuses on the discovery and evaluation of pharmacogenetic biomarkers that influence individual variability in drug response, especially in chronic respiratory diseases and metabolic conditions. I have conducted research on genetic predictors of treatment outcomes in COPD, pharmacogenomics of analgesic and antidiabetic therapies, and innovative IVT-mRNA approaches for therapeutic applications.
My experience includes international research activity as a post-doctoral researcher at the Medical Center–University of Freiburg, where I contributed to studies on respiratory pharmacology and clinical genomics. I have also participated in national and European research projects, including work on CAR-based immunotherapy and biosimilar drug development. My skill set spans molecular and cellular techniques, sequencing, protein analysis, and preclinical models. My research has led to peer-reviewed publications, congress abstracts, awards, and long-standing involvement in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Personally, I am highly ambitious, motivated, and enthusiastic about advancing precision medicine. I collaborate easily with multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively in academic and clinical environments, and enjoy mentoring and supporting students. I thrive in dynamic research settings and am driven by scientific challenges that lead to meaningful translational outcomes.
