Charisa Lackrone

Hi everyone. If you made it to this page, I want to say thanks for taking an interest in me. Most recently I was an elementary school teacher in Phoenix, AZ. When my husband received an exciting job offer in Maryland we picked up and moved. I am now working on getting settled in here on the east coast and finding an exciting new job for myself.

Prior to teaching I worked in marketing and project management. These were both fields that I enjoyed, but I felt that with a degree in education I could make more of a difference in the world. Now I am looking for ways to combine all of my professional experiences into one position. During my time as a teacher, I was able to see just how many people it takes to support a classroom- both directly and indirectly. I benefited immensely from the support I received while I was in the classroom and now I want to give back by supporting other classroom teachers.

I have a keen interest in improving the quality of education in the United States. As a product of homeschooling, I know first-hand just how valuable alternative and supplemental education is. I believe whole-heartedly in the idea that we can provide a quality education for every student in America. I am seeking ways to promote alternative education and programs that aid in public school instruction to the people who will benefit most.
