Charita Upkins

With a background in sales and homeowner underwriting, Charita Upkins serves as a real estate agent with Fridrich & Clark Realty, LLC, in Nashville, TN, specializing in the Nashville and Franklin markets. After completing college, Upkins' career began as an homeowner underwriter at the regional office of State Farm Insurance in Murfreesboro TN. Over a five-year period, she supported more than 150 Middle Tennessee agents in assessing exposure changes and quality risks.

Joining Astra Merck in the late 1990s, Ms. Upkins helped the firm achieve outstanding market share expansion. From 2002 to 2007, she volunteered with the nonprofit My Sister’s Keeper (MSK) collegiate program in Nashville. As the Executive Director, she assisted the program’s founder in developing robust organizational capacities, authored the code of conduct and operational manual, and spearheaded establishment of MSK chapters at Middle Tennessee State University and other campuses. An active charity runner, Charita Upkins has helped raise funds for organizations such as New Hope Academy and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
