"Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough." Charity Lyons lives by these inspirational words. Charity is a high school graduate of Mt. Zion Academy, Durham NC. After completion of high school, she then attended North Carolina Central University for a year. With wanting to become a licensed cosmetologist, she withdrew from North Carolina Central University so that she could attend cosmetology school to become certified.

With not wanting to work in a salon full time, she then became employed in Wake County working with the Department of Social Services. Charity has a passion for helping others and wanting to see others happy. After working to help others for a few years, Charity realized that in order to further herself in her career she would need education so she re-enrolled at NCCU.

Charity's educational goal is to graduate from NCCU with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Upon obtaining her degree, her goal is to land a career in Forensic Accounting. Charity is determined to succeed throughout life and to become a jack-of-many-trades.
