Charleen Earley is a magazine publisher, 24-year freelance writer, college journalism professor and adult educator, business and motivational speaker, comedienne, entrepreneur, resume created, mom and grandma. She published a quarterly, color, 48-page print magazine called Delta Living Mag and Colorful Living Magazine for the East Contra Costa County community and beyond and she creates comedy shows, booking A-list comedians from LA, SF and New York.

Born in Eloise, Michigan, raised in Oakland, CA, Charleen's eclectic array of experiences and skills allows her to inspire, educate, motivate and entertain all those around her.

She holds two AA degrees (Liberal Arts & Journalism) from Los Medanos College, was Editor-in-Chief of The Experience at LMC for a year, has a BA Degree in English from California State University East Bay and is currently working on her MS Degree in Mass Communications | Journalism at San Jose State University.

Currently Editor-in-Chief at The Orinda News, she's also a freelance writer for The Record in Stockton, SF Chronicle, East Bay Times, Diablo Magazine, Oakland Magazine, Oakland Tribune and a host of others - she's always finding exciting "nouns" (people, places and things) to write about.

Her son is a Civil Engineer in Texas.

When she's not working, she's visiting her family, reading, playing with her two tuxedo cats or shopping for vintage treasures.
