Charlene Tay

Graduate Student, Consultant, and Research Project Manager in Bloomington, Indiana

I am a Data Scientist currently working at the intersection of Cognitive Science, Statistics and Computer Science. As a Research Project Manager in Cognitive Science, I perform highly data-driven cutting-edge studies that use machine learning, data mining and computer vision as computational techniques to analyze data with the goal of better understanding human learning.

I am also a leader and founding member of the IU Data Science Consulting Club, applying project management skills and machine learning expertise to a wide range of consulting projects with partners from academia and industry.

Combined, these experiences have equipped me not only with strong technical and analytical abilities, but also with a wide range of creative ways to think about and deal with data. I am particularly excited about finding ways to help you leverage your data using methods from interdisciplinary fields in order to find simple and elegant solutions to big problems.
