Living in the South my whole life I have naturally grown up to love the outdoors. Almost everything outdoors seems to gel with me. Fishing has always been a favorite of mine. From catching small bass in local ponds to king mackerel in the Gulf of Mexico, fishing never seems to get old. Growing up in Savannah, GA gave me man opportunities to fish. In my younger age, my friends and I would ride our bikes to Wedgefield Drive to the most bass filled pond in the neighborhood. We would catch fish then throw them back until the sunset would kick us out. If there was nothing on our agendas the next day, we would wake up and do it all over again. My junior year of high school I moved to Pensacola Beach, Fl. This was awesome for me! Being right on the Gulf of Mexico gave me no obstacles to fish. All I had to do was walk to the water and throw a line out and relax! My uncle would take my cousins and I deep see fishing about once a month and this is how I learned what I know about the sport. For those who have yet to go deep sea fishing; it is something all should experience. Fishing to me is something I can do to get away from society. It’s my happy place!
