- 2019: Burgas (Bulgaria) to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) via Romaina, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan... over 45degs C on the Uzbek borders

- 2018: back out of Northern Iraq on the KTM, through eastern Turkey to Tbilisi, Georgia then back to Burgas, Bulgaria

- 2017: overland by motorcycle to Iraq arriving north of Mosul touring Kurdish region from Syrian to Iranian borders;

- 2016: overland by motorcycle to Arctic Circle, St Petersburg and the Baltic States;

- 2014-16: strategy roles in the television, brewing and water utility sector;

- 2014: overland by KTM990 motorcycle through 23 African countries... down the west coast to Cape Town, back the east;

- 2008-14: COO within UK financial sector marketing group with subsidiaries in Russia, Dubai and South Africa;

- 1997-08: senior management roles within seven early stage ventures in the technology, media and marketing services sectors;

- 1987-97: corporate strategist within the Bain & Co. extended family of consultancies in London (incl. COBA, Kalchas, Bain & Burlington);

- 1981-86: HM Armed Forces; public duties and active service within the Household Division;
