Volunteer, Small Business Owner, and Information Technology in Lynn Haven, Florida

Hi, I’m Charles. I’m a small business owner living in Lynn Haven, Florida. I have a Bachelors degree in Information Technology Management and currently work as an Information Systems Security Officer for military contracts.

I spend the majority of my spare time on the hobbies that I love: Genealogy/History, Scuba Diving, Gardening, and Beekeeping.

My Charity Work:

Animal Rescue Center
I founded and was President of Animal Rescue Center of Bay County, Inc. a foster-based animal rescue founded in 2006 and closed in 2018 due to ramifications of the Category 5 hurricane, Michael, that struck our area.

Operation Spay Bay (SpayBay.org)
I am a Founder and have served on the Volunteer Board of Directors for Operation Spay Bay since its inception. This is Bay County's only low cost spay neuter clinic. Since our opening in 2011 we have provided low cost spay/neuter services to 50 THOUSAND pets. This means many times that amount of unwanted pets will never be born only to be abandoned and euthanized in the county's shelter system. You can find out more about this 501(c)3 charity by going to SpayBay.com

PC Dive Club (PCDiveClub.com)
I am also the Founder, Volunteer Director, and President of PC Dive Club, Inc. This 501(c)7 non-profit organization seeks to provide social enrichment for the very large and active dive community in Panama City. When I first joined the club that preceded this one, Panama City Dive Club, it was a failing club that was known as the "Dive Club that doesn't dive." Upon joining this defunct club I immediately took over the Presidency, dissolved the old club and started fresh. Today we proudly boast a membership that stays above 115 members, and hosts multiple dive related events per month even during the offseason. We are now the "Dive club that dives!!"

Other small businesses I have started focused around my interests:

After retiring from a 23-year career with the State of Florida I decided to focus on pursuing career fields that I would enjoy working at. In doing so I started three small businesses each in a field of my life that I have a great interest in Gardening, Technology, and Genealogy.

My Tech Guy:
Providing affordable tech help and training to those who often can't afford it.

Find My Roots (FindMyRoots.etsy.com)
Providing affordable genealogy research to those that wish to experience the richness of their past.

Panama City Plants
I provide the local gardening community with unique and interesting vegetable plants not found in big box stores.
