Charles Gaouette

As an experienced military professional, Charles Gaouette has lived and worked in various nations around the world. He has spent time in Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and the Czech Republic, among other countries. Prior to serving as Special Assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations, Charles Gaouette led Carrier Strike Group Three, a group that included a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, thousands of personnel, and dozens of aircraft.

Gaouette has over three decades of military experience, including service as Deputy Commander for the United States Naval Forces Central Command in the Middle Eastern country of Bahrain. In this post, he oversaw roughly 4,000 Navy personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan, and collaborated with senior leadership on pressing security matters. He also led a Maritime Task Force charged with protecting Iraqi oil platforms; the task force was awarded Meritorious Unit Citation for its efforts.

In addition to his military life, Charles Gaouette is passionate about aviation. He once constructed a full-scale Boeing 737 flight simulator.
