Charles Howenstine DDS

Charles Howenstine DDS is a dentist and practice owner based in Stevensville, Michigan, with roots in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. He graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1999 and earned a Finance degree from Marquette University in 2003. Before moving into healthcare, he worked at Capstone Investments, which reinforced a habit of careful review and measured decision making.

He later returned to school at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and earned his dental degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2011. His early clinical work included dentistry with Midwest Dental in Kimberly, Wisconsin. In 2012 he relocated to Michigan and purchased a dental practice, managing both patient care and practice operations.

Charles Howenstine DDS values clear communication, consistency, and preparedness. He believes prevention is more reliable than repair, and that many oral health problems can be arrested when identified early. That includes methods used to arrest decay, arrest localized inflammation, and arrest bleeding during procedures. He works with patients and staff in a calm, direct way, focusing on documentation, realistic planning, and follow through. His interests outside work have included hockey, sailing, and long distance cross country skiing.
