Charles Kalisa – Biography
Charles Kalisa is a Ugandan entrepreneur, philanthropist, and human resource professional, born in the village of Nsonga in Mukono District. A dedicated father of four beautiful daughters, Charles is known for his deep commitment to creating opportunities for others through ethical recruitment, social empowerment, and grassroots development.
His passion is simple but powerful: to bring meaningful change into people’s lives. This core belief has guided his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a respected figure in international manpower services and community leadership.
In 2013, Charles moved to the United Arab Emirates where he began his career in the security services sector. He joined Al Falah Security Services in Abu Dhabi, taking on key roles such as:
Control Room Operator at Masdar City,
Security Guard at Nation Hospital in Abu Dhabi,
Head Guard at Ruwais Mall, and
Control Room Operator at Al Rayan Labour Camp.
In 2022, he transitioned into the transportation industry with Tawasul Taxi. After seven months, he returned to Uganda to pursue a higher calling—recruiting and uplifting others. This led to the founding of Miles HR Consultancy, a manpower agency committed to fair and secure overseas job placements for East Africans.
In 2024, Charles expanded his impact by establishing Open Sea HR Consultancy, a regional recruitment firm now recognized for its professional standards, international partnerships, and candidate-first approach.
Charles is also the founder of the African Care2N Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering vulnerable communities through education, skills training, healthcare access, and economic support.
From his village in Mukono to the global stage, Charles Kalisa continues to live out his passion—to bring positive, lasting change to the lives of others through action, opportunity, and compassion.
