Charles McKirahan
Charles McKirahan’s work experience includes positions as a Load Inspector for Global Flexi Systems and as a Warehouse Supervisor for United Parcel Service of America, Inc. (UPS). At Global Flexi Systems, he supervised the loading of liquid cargo at chemical plants into Global Flexi Systems’ special flexitanks. His duties included ensuring that all valves were functioning properly, preventing leaks, and checking load temperatures. McKirahan also maintained and updated all of the paperwork associated with each load. This included recording gross weight, net weight, container number, and pumping time. Before joining the staff of Global Flexi Systems, Charles McKirahan worked as a Warehouse Supervisor for UPS. His specific duties included oversight of the outbound loading area, ensuring customer satisfaction and employee safety, increasing efficiency, and managing between 10 and 12 employees. In 2009, Charles McKirahan enrolled in Texas Tech University in Lubbock to study petroleum engineering; he plans to complete his B.S. requirements in 2012. His goal is to work as an engineer in the oil business. In his studies, Charles McKirahan has acquired proficiency in Mathcad, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and the MATLAB programming language. In keeping with his career goals, he maintains membership in the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Association of Drilling Engineers. Charles McKirahan supports the United Way Worldwide, donates blood, and has previously worked as volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Association of America. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, riding ATVs, mountain biking, and woodworking.
