Charles Nama
Software Engineer, Project Manager, and Public Speaker in Buea, Cameroon
I am a builder focused on turning ideas into structured, scalable systems across Africa. My work sits at the intersection of technology, youth development, and ecosystem building, and I take projects from concept to completion.
In 2016, I transitioned from a law degree into tech, building expertise in digital marketing and website design before training as a data scientist in India. In 2017, I led the organization of one of Africa’s largest debate tournaments, bringing together participants from over 15 countries, an early signal of my ability to execute at scale.
In 2018, I expanded into East Africa, spending time in Tanzania conducting market research on the potential of investing in an IT firm, while building a cross-border network that now spans more than 7 African countries.
I went on to work as a Data Analyst at Gozem and as a Digital Strategist for multinational companies in Douala, sharpening my ability to combine data, strategy, and execution. In 2025, I transitioned fully into the nonprofit space, where I now build high-impact platforms that convene young people around critical issues like public health and governance.
At my core, my strength is simple: I build, and I finish. I care deeply about people, and I translate that into systems and initiatives that create real, measurable impact.
Currently, I am advancing my expertise in UI/UX design, continuing to bridge technology and scalable innovation.
Let’s connect if you’re interested in building impactful systems, scaling ideas, or shaping the future of Africa.
