The founder and owner of three companies in New York, Charles “Chuck” Petersheim focuses his career on the construction and real estate industries. He leads Catskills Farms, a design and building company; Bluestone Construction; and Lazy Meadow Realty. At Bluestone Construction, he and his team of 14 construction professionals build a variety of projects using local goods and vendors. Meanwhile, Catskills Farms builds new residential construction inspired by historic American architecture. Beyond these responsibilities, Charles Petersheim guest writes for Upstarter.com about the Hudson Valley area, and he is involved with a start-up investment group.

Chuck Petersheim graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in English with a focus on business and economics. He spent summers working in Martha’s Vineyard while in college and began working as a house painter upon graduation. After spending some time on an international backpacking trip, he moved to New York City and got involved in the construction industry. Following the 9/11 attacks, Charles Petersheim moved to Sullivan County and founded his companies. Since 2002, he and Catskill Farms have built over 100 new homes in the area and renovated a number of churches and farms. His designs have earned him several awards, including the 2009 Best Small Home in Hudson Valley, along with plenty of media attention.
