A former minster, Dr. Charles Roman got his start in the medical field as a nurse’s aide at the Betty Bacharach Rehabilitation Hospital. He subsequently earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and accepted a position as a house physician with Coordinated Health Services. Dr. Charles Roman passed Parts I through III of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners test by 1994. He subsequently obtained board certification in internal medicine in 1997 and was recertified in 2007.

Over the years, Dr. Charles Roman has served as the medical director of two different nursing homes and as a general internal medicine physician with the Columbus Regional Healthcare System. Since 2000, he has owned and operated the Roman Medical Group, a Columbus, Georgia-based clinic that features many onsite services including a full service lab, x-ray, ultrasound, a reception area with refreshments and free wireless Internet. In addition to his responsibilities with the Group, he has provided expert medical commentary for the local NBC News affiliate since 2012.
