Charlie Boucher
Writer in Great Malvern, United Kingdom
In 1996 I graduated from Rose Bruford College with a theatre degree in writing. Despite some alarmed looks from my family and some unspoken but heavily implied doubts that I would ever put this degree to any practical use, I have managed to work fairly regularly as a professional writer.
My short film “My Dead Buddy”, directed by Richard Clark, won the 1997 Lloyds Bank Channel Four Film Challenge. Following this I worked on a few TV programmes that never left Development Hell, wrote and performed in a musical on the London fringe, wrote a corporate film script for Hammersmith and Fulham
Council, and have had two plays broadcast on Radio 4.
"Hiding the Smile", my first novel, is available on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback formats.
I have lived in Malvern in the West Midlands since 2010.
