Charlie Campbell

Charlie Campbell is an emerging, digital artist, whose work includes video, installation, animation and generative photography. He attended Transylvania University for a BA and Rochester Institute of Technology for an MFA - splitting his attention between fine art and computer science. Between studies (and cities) he has worked as a graphic designer, programmer, videographer, technology journalist, teacher and gallery director.

His work often addressesthe fallibility of vision, human and digital - and employs translation and recursion of images across digital and analog media. By processing images through varying input and output technologies, he explores both an aesthetic of errors and artifacts as well as the metaphysical implications of such image translation.

Charlie has recently returned to help foster the arts in his home state of Kentucky - as a curator, instructor, volunteer and enthusiast for many of our local arts organizations and institutions. He is currently serving as a graphic designer for Bullhorn Creative and Exhibitions Manager for Land of Tomorrow, a project and gallery space in Lexington and Louisville.
