Charli 'AKA' Payne
I love photography, not only for the images I capture, but for the opportunity to let the viewer step inside my field of vision. In that moment of sharing, the viewer and I are connected. My perception is conveyed, my emotions are perceived, and my world is entered. You might call it a brief moment of communion between people who live different lives, and who have different experiences.
I am not well traveled. My photographs will never find their way into an award winning magazine, but I snap what I see. My eyes find stories in every picture I take. I like to think I find the beauty in the mundane, and the extraordinary in the ordinary.
There is a quote by Brooks Anderson that I believe captures the spirit of every shutterbug.
"The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking".
True, isn't it?
