Charlotte Hinahon
Clinical Dietitian in California
Promoting good nutrition and healthy behaviors is my ambition. Inspiring others to be their best is my passion.
My philosophy: Live Sweetly
Life is sweet. And we should live it that way. It means to be sweet in all things you do. To be kind, generous, humble, and forgiving. Always be sweet yourself and to others.
Working Towards Wellness:
I believe in the benefits of physical activity, healthy eating habits, and strengthening the mind, body, and soul. I believe that to reach your full potential, you have to find your passion and share your gifts with others.
When it comes to food, I am a firm believer that we are what we eat, and that nutrition plays a huge role in our susceptibility to disease. We should eat to nourish our body and keep it working at its best. Food should be healing, not damaging, but it can also be pleasurable. I allow myself to enjoy all kinds of different foods and I don't beat myself up when I indulge. Moderation and portion control is key.
In my nutrition and dietetics career, I really enjoy adult critical care and working alongside the multidisciplinary care team. I am constantly expanding my knowledge of different diagnoses, across many disease states, and learning how nutrition plays a critical function in the big picture of one's health.
