Charlton Ruddock
Charlton “Chuck” Ruddock is a New York based director. He studied filmmaking at The New School for Social Research Film Department, where his instructors were Phil Katzman (for film) and Laura Morgan (Directing Actors). He also studied directing with Bill Linsman at The International Film and Television Workshops of Rockport, Maine, and with Benjamin Hayeem at New York University. He also studied with Mel Howard at Cantor Film Center with Guy Maga.
He wrote, directed, and edited “A Career Opportunity,” which is a short film about a young boy who discovers a deep dark secret about what goes on in the backroom of the business establishment he decided to work at for the summer to earn a little extra cash. He now comes to a crossroad desicion on whether to choose wrong or right. The outcome will stand to change his life forever.
He also directed “Satisfaction,” a thirty second commercial spot for the Palm Pilot.
He was a production assistant (PA) on the documentary “Goin’ Back to ‘T’ Town” for the PBS series; The American Experience. He was also an assistant film editor for Valkhn Films, a post-production house that worked on films such as; Jim Lipscomb’s “The Tall Ships”, Rolfe Kanefsky’s “My Family Treasure”, and Melvin Van Peebles’ “Vroom Vroom Vroom.”
Charlton was the production office assistant for the film “Entropy,” which was written and directed Phil Joanou (State of Grace, Final Analysis, U2: Rattle and Hum).
He also worked for the Script and Video Library at the feature film market of the Independent Feature Film Market.
