Mr. Chart Westcott, Esq. is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Ikarian Capital, LLC a long/short equity biotech-focused investment adviser. Mr. Westcott graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in History and from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he concentrated on corporate transactions and tax law. During his time at SMU, Chart concentrated on corporate transactions and tax law, until graduating. After passing the Texas Bar, Westcott continued to work at Westcott LLC, as general counsel and managing partner.
Today, Chart Westcott works full time at Ikarian Capital, LLC as COO. Having always been passionate about the future of our country, Chart Westcott actively supports organizations that advance the ideas of liberty. Concerned that America is moving away from its founding principles of liberty, the rule of law, separation of powers, and the Constitution, Chart is an advocate for organizations that uphold these principles.
He has previously received awards from the Dallas Country Republican Party and Dallas Young Republicans including, “Man of the Year”, and “Young Republican of the Year”. Chart Westcott was also named by MAV-PAC as one of the Top 40 conservative under 40 to watch. Mr. Westcott currently serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas and as a Commissioner on the Texas Real Estate Commission.
Chart Westcott serves as general counsel of Commodore Partners, a venture capital and real estate company that focuses on investments in technology and real estate. He also presides as Chairman of the Westcott Foundation, a private foundation that focuses on improving education and economic conditions in Dallas, TX through grants.
