Chase Harrison

Radford, VA

I grew up in Christiansburg, Virginia. The youngest of three and the only boy. Growing up I tried a variety of different activities and sports. I had a 3.18 GPA in High School and barely squeezed into the top 3rd.

I got accepted to Radford University Early Action during my senior year of high school. Unsure of what I wanted to do at the time with my career I majored in Political Science due to an interest in politics. Deciding there were better opportunities in buiness changed my major to business. After passing my first Accounting course with an A and seeing the strong potential in that field I decided to pursue a degree in Accounting.

I am a Senior Investment Analyst for the Student Managed Investment Portfolio Organization. The RU foundation grants us over $1,000,000 to invest in the stock market through comprehensive excel stock analysis. We pitch the stock to the organization in a professional manner and the organization votes on the decision of what to do with the stock.

In spring of 2012 I pledged The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi. This was a great learning experience that I learned a lot from. It brought out my strongest qualities and taught me that I can be a natural born leader. In fall of 2012 I was elected Vice President of Pledge Education for our chapter. I basically guide our new members through the pledging process trying to bring out their best qualities as I go, and teaching them the true meaning of brotherhood.

Currently I am employed at Red Lobster in a Utility position. A fast paced on your feet dish washing position. I don't mind doing this to pass time till the end of college
