Chase Rentz
My name is Chase Rentz and I want to be a graphic designer. When I was younger I was always told that my one priority in life should be to be as happy with what I was doing as possible. Like the old saying goes "If you love what you are doing you'll never work a day in your life." I took that heart and started thinking about my future job at a very young age. Over time I moved from career path to career path. I went from wanting to be a scientist to wanting to be a teacher to even trying my hand at a math based career. I'm not even good at math. They were all great professions but none of them ever felt right. I couldn't see myself doing any of them thirty years from now. It came to the point where I was running low on options. My senior year in high school, I decided it was time to stop trying for a career path I loved and pick one that would be beneficial to me and my future family. In other words one that would make me a lot of money. I settled on nursing. It's a well paying career and you get the added benefit of helping people. So when I graduated, my mission was to find a worthy nursing college. I settled on one but when I got to the section that required me to choose my major something caught my eye. They offered a degree in graphic design. I'd always loved video games but not once had I ever thought about making them. I saw my opportunity and took it. That was two years ago and ever since I've been working toward a career I won't ever have to call a job.
