Hello, my name is Chase Green and I currently attend The Ohio State University.

My top 5 StrengthsQuest Strengths are: Consistency, Responsibility, Discipline, Belief, and Arranger. It is pretty easy to determine that "Responsibility" is my number 1 strength. Throughout my life, I have always been responsible for my actions and taking time to do things when needed. Being responsible is a very important strength for me. I define being responsible by committing to anything and following through to completion. Excuses are unacceptable. No matter what, I will always be able to find a way to deliver. For me, being responsible will allow me to be successful in the classroom and outside of school. Responsibility is key for success, being responsible for class work will result in good grades. I will use responsibility to make better of myself and always be on top of things. Being responsible will get me far in life, and I look forward to it.

If I had to pick my favorite tradition it would be singing Carmen Ohio. Carmen Ohio is the alma mater here at The Ohio State University. Carmen is sung after sports games such as football and basketball, no matter win or lose. I learned the lyrics to the song before I was even a student here at Ohio State. By learning the alma mater, I am able to participate in the singing of Carmen after the sports games. I cannot wait to sing the alma mater with my fellow classmates and friends when we graduate. Singing Carmen Ohio after sports games is important because I am carrying on the legacy here at Ohio State.

As a First-Year Buckeye, I learned and have overcome many new things here at the University. There are about 3 or so main lessons that stick out to me the most. 1) Be prepared to get grades you are not use to. College is harder and a bigger transition than high school is/was. 2)Manage time wisely. Budget time between school, clubs, and activities. It will all come into place. 3) Plan Ahead. It is a lot easier to plan a schedule earlier to be prepared and organized and know what is coming up. It helps tremendously.

I have learned many new lessons not many college students would know. Now that I have learned these lessons, I will be able to use these lessons in my future schooling. These lessons will help in preparing me for my future here at The Ohio State University.
