Known for his expertise in minerals, fossils, gems, and meteorites, Chase Pipes owns and operates the Smoky Mountain Relic Room in Sevierville, Tennessee. With a personal passion for history, Chase Pipes enjoys educating visitors about the lineage of artifacts he sells, and often personally restores the one-of-a kind items that he deals in.
Mr. Pipes offers handpicked pieces ranging from World War II artifacts to meteorites with attractive frames and extensive write-ups on their provenance under the Chasing History brand. He takes pride in only selling items that have been legally collected and authenticated, both based on his own research and that of experts in his specific field.
A majority of the pieces Mr. Pipes sells come directly from the men and women who discovered them in the field. He records many of his trips as mini-documentaries and presents them online at the “Chasing History” YouTube channel.
Active in his professional community, Chase Pipes served as Smoky Mountain Historical Society president for two years.
