Charleston Wrimo

Charleston, SC

The Charleston, SC region of National Novel Writing Month are known as the ChasWrimos! This officially includes West Ashley, Downtown, Mount Pleasant, Summerville, Hanahan, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner and North Charleston. We also take Wrimos from other regions as well!

National Novel Writing Month is the crazy endeavor of writing 50,000 words in the month of November. It is headed up by the not for profit Office of Letters and Light (OLL).

Currently L. Anne Beard serves as Municipal Liaison with an army of Minions (not an official NaNoWriMo position but one we have found incredibly important to us) to help us cheer you on to reach the goal of writing 50,000 words in the month of November!

All the money we collect at Write-Ins, the Regional online store and parties are all donated to the OLL. We keep nothing for us other than donating it to the OLL. The money collected by the OLL helps to fund all of their programs including the Young Writer’s Program (YWP – Think Nano for kids), Script Frenzy (Write 100 pages of a script in the month of April) and now, CampNaNoWriMo (Just like Nano, only in June and August). With the exception of the official NaNo sticker we pass out to you, everything is provided for, by us. We do this because we want to make the solitary act of writing fun and sociable as much as possible. So it may not always be the best but it is heartfelt.
