I am Tharindu Sameera, commonly known as Sam, a Senior Mining Engineer and the Principal Consultant of 24x7 Engineering Solutions and Designs Pty Ltd, an engineering consultancy firm that I founded in Australia. Currently, I reside in Melbourne, Australia, but I originally grew up in Matara, Sri Lanka, where my journey in engineering began.

Professional Background

My academic foundation is in Mining Engineering, which I pursued in Sri Lanka. After completing my undergraduate degree, I moved to Australia, where I furthered my education by obtaining a Master’s degree in Project Management. Over the past seven years (as of March 2025), I have gained extensive experience working in the Australian mining industry in various engineering and leadership roles.

Driven by my passion for engineering and problem-solving, I established 24x7 Engineering Solutions and Designs Pty Ltd to provide specialized consultancy services in the mining and engineering sector. Today, my company has a growing team of four employees, including my wife, and we strive to deliver innovative and efficient solutions to our clients.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, I have a deep passion for camping, traveling, and DIY projects. I enjoy exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and working on hands-on projects that challenge my creativity and problem-solving skills.

Future Goals

Looking ahead, my goal is to expand my consultancy business beyond Australia, securing international clients and broadening the company’s global reach. Ultimately, I aspire to achieve early retirement, allowing me to dedicate more time to traveling the world and experiencing life beyond the corporate sphere.

With a strong foundation in engineering and business, I am continuously working towards building a legacy in the industry while maintaining a fulfilling personal life.
