Chau is the Director of Analytical Services at Electric Cities of Georgia (ECG), a non-profit organization providing strategic and technical services to 52 municipal members with utility operations.

Chau's primary focus has been to look after the financial sustainability of $1+ billion in utility enterprise funds for ECG's members. After a decade of directly supporting members with electric COS and rate design, he manages a team of professionals skilled in developing rates for electric, water/sewer, and natural gas utility. In the last seven years, he has expanded his scope of responsibility to provide strategic support in economic development and national/major account program. He provides utility expertise in meetings with economic development prospects at the local and state level. He develops and presents pricing proposals, drafts contracts, and administers complex billing for large-load customers on behalf of ECG members. In the last two years, Chau has worked to bring multiple cryptocurrency mining firms to member cities. At the same time, he helped to develop a framework that provides utility-scale solar solutions to large businesses with locations inside members' service territory.

Chau has a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Georgia Tech and dual certifications of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Demand-Side Management (CDSM). In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and photography.
