Raquel Chaves

Raquel Chaves, is a multidisciplinary designer and curator based in Berlin.

After graduating at University of Brasilia, Raquel lived in Barcelona where she studied Graphic and Trends design at Universitat de Barcelona and Masana School. As a product designer she worked with resin home objects wood furniture and LED lamps. In 2010 she took part of Bauhaus Kolleg, a one year program along with an international team advised by Regina Bitter.

Still in Germany, co-founded PLATform and collaborates with Agora Collective in Berlin, both projects focused on contemporary design.

Raquel is interested in new methodologies of work that question processes and objects roles, to explore the possibilities of expression and experiment with new techniques, materials and creation processes within an experimental approach. She focuses on the communicative potentials of objects as a means to create emotional bonds between object and user.
