A longtime nonprofit executive with considerable experience in the education sector, Chavie Kahn currently serves as an executive board member and first vice president of the Manhattan Day School in New York City. As an organizational leader with the elementary day school, she develops school-wide strategies and plays an integral role in areas such as senior hires, vendor selections, and budgeting. In addition to maintaining open lines of communication with parents and supporters, Chavie Kahn strives to facilitate cooperation between parents and teachers.
In addition to her work with the Manhattan Day School, Chavie Kahn works as an executive board member and board secretary with the American Friends of Nishmat, a women’s learning organization in Israel. In this capacity, she helps the institution establish its strategic priorities and organize educational events. Kahn also holds a seat on the board of AMIT, a nationwide network of nearly 100 elementary and high schools in Israel.
