Chaya

With more than a decade of experience in the education field, Chaya Jundef works as English principal at Nefesh Academy in New York, where she helps plan extracurricular programs and designs curriculum. At the start of her career, she mentored young students as a special education professional with Beth Jacob Elementary in Toronto. Following that, she held the assistant student council director position at Beth Jacob High School, where she oversaw the North American Beth Jacob Convention and formed relationships with students. At that school, Chaya Jundef also instructed students in the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades on subjects ranging from Judaism to civics. More recently, Ms. Jundef acted as program coordinator for Miskon in Brooklyn, where she helped create a program for 200 disabled adults and children affiliated with the Jewish Board of Family and Child Services. She also served as Holocaust educator and curriculum professional with the Mikdash Melech Elementary School. An educator active in her wider community, Chaya Jundef assisted Bnos Agudath Israel for a dozen years as a volunteer staff member. Her responsibilities included arranging functions like trips and melaveh malkah. Further, she coordinated the Bnos Convention in Toronto and the Catskills.
