Cassondra G Armstrong

Chef Cassondra Armstrong is owner and operator of Chef Cassondra Culinary Concepts, a full-service company providing event catering, wait service, personal chef services, and culinary consulting. She has been a part of the North Texas food service industry for nearly 30 years. A culinary artist since the age of 12, Chef Cassondra has continued the legacy of her family’s catering business, forging her own reputation as an innovative chef and community leader. The Dallas Morning News recognized Chef Cassondra for her role in “revitalizing Southern cuisine,” offering a healthier twist on traditional favorites by maximizing flavor while minimizing harmful ingredients. Cassondra has been a recurring guest on various television programs such as Good Morning Texas, has been featured in leading publications such as Ebony magazine, and is a national spokesperson for Lawry's Seasoned Salt. In her work to promote healthier cooking, she has toured with the American Heart Association's “Take Your Wellness to Heart” campaign, and currently is a Local and National Ambassador for AHA’s “Power to End Stroke” campaign. She teaches culinary classes at local colleges, churches and hospitals, and runs a culinary program to mentor at-risk youth and rehabilitating adults. Cassondra is an honor graduate of El Centro College’s Food and Hospitality Program, has served at the Dallas Hyatt Regency Hotel, and has completed international training in Germany and Hungary. She also holds a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis on management.
