Award winning chef Alain Lemaire is a food service professional/consultant out of South Florida. A native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Alain began helping his mother at a very young age in church functions. He developed an increasing passion for food and food service, which he decided to pursue by moving to Florida where he attended Johnson & Wales University and earned an A.S. in Culinary Arts and a B.S. in Food Service Management. Alain graduated Magna Cum Laude, a member of the Silver Key Honor Society and of La Chaine des Rotisseurs. The flavors of the Caribbean and Latin world influence his fusion style of cooking.
Alain is the Co-Owner and Executive Chef of Sensory Delights, a catering company based out of South Florida. Sensory Delights’ goal is to leave a lasting impression by providing a service and food quality that surpasses the ordinary. He is a Managing Partner at Soleil Entertainment, LLC whose main goal is to promote Haitian culture through arts with an emphasis on theater, music and food. His is the Secretary General of the first Haitian Culinary Alliance (HCA) in the United States. The HCA’s mission is to forge a strong and united network of food service, hospitality and culinary professionals of Haitian descent while providing educational and networking opportunities to its affiliates.
Alain Lemaire’s intensive background in food service has led him to participate in many activities throughout South Florida and even overseas such as the Boca Raton and Deerfield Beach Wine & Food Festivals; Haiti Gout et Saveurs Lakay. Training and development remains a high priority as he regularly attends continuing educational classes and seminars. He finds the constant changes in food trends to be very challenging and always focuses on creating new variations. Alain will contribute greatly in the magazine in the aspects of food and food service related topics. He will present issues and concerns that we sometime overlook at home or even eating out especially safety issues. He will offer healthy yet delicious recipes with guidelines, etc...
