Cheikh Ndiaye
Founder in California
The Architect of Access: A Global Journey from Dakar to the Bay
Founder, MediGal.sn | Clinical Operations, Color Health
The Roots of a Visionary
Cheikh Ndiaye’s story is a bridge between two worlds. Born in the quiet strength of Thies and sharpened by the coastal ambition of Dakar, his journey is defined by a relentless drive to solve complex human problems.
Long before moving to the States, Cheikh was an architect of social change in West Africa. As a co-founder of RICAPEC Senegal (2008), his commitment to the planet earned him honors in Paris for youth climate awareness. During this formative era, he traveled to over 50 remote villages with Tostan, serving as a consultant and research assistant for UC Berkeley.
The Leap: From New York Energy to Silicon Valley Innovation
In 2006, Cheikh brought his "immigrant’s edge" to the United States. He began his American journey in New York City, spending seven months absorbing the city’s relentless pace before heading West to the innovation-heavy landscape of California.
Throughout this transition, Cheikh maintained a unique "borderless" consulting role, spending four years as a remote strategist for a chairman in Senegal. Navigating high-stakes operations via Skype long before the world went remote, he proved his ability to lead and drive impact across oceans.
The Technical Evolution
Settling in the land of the 49ers, Cheikh accelerated his trajectory. From studies at the City College of San Francisco to earning an AI Business Certification from MIT, he mastered the intersection of data and human behavior.
He became an operational architect for the Silicon Valley elite, spending years in the "war rooms" of industry leaders like Brightloom, Color Health, ChefRobotics, and DoorDash. There, he refined the supply chains and clinical operations that allow modern services to scale globally.
The Mission: MediGal & Beyond
Today, Cheikh is "bringing it all back home," leveraging the velocity of the Bay Area to transform West African healthcare:
MediGal: As founder, he provides specialized emergency medical kits and training, empowering Senegalese citizens to be the first line of defense in a crisis.
The Life & Philosophy
Cheikh believes that a leader must be as grounded as they are visionary. He is a seeker of perspective—whether he is hiking a new trail, camping under the stars, or driving across borders. A lover of reading and a passionate cook, he finds his greatest joy in sharing: a meal, a story, or the knowledge gathered from the 50 villages of Senegal to the halls of MIT.
